７月20日にNPO法人徳島県古武道協会主催蔵本八坂神社古武道演武大会に参加いたしました。
徳島に安土桃山時代に伝えられた阿州柳生神影流兵法剣術を披露致しました。
徳島市の夏の風物詩である祇園祭りに演武を披露し一花添えることが出来ました。
参道にずらりと夜店や提灯が飾られ幻想的な雰囲気を醸し出す祇園祭はこれからの楽しい夏の始まりを思わせる1日でした。
On July 20, we participated in a kobudo demonstration at Kuramoto Yasaka Shrine organized by the NPO Tokushima Kobudo Association.
We demonstrated the Ashu Yagyu Shinkage Ryu swordsmanship, which was introduced to Tokushima in the Azuchi-Momoyama period (1573-1603).
We were able to add a little more flavor to the Gion Festival, a summer tradition in Tokushima City, by demonstrating our kobudo.
The Gion Festival, with its fantastic atmosphere created by the many stalls and lanterns decorating the approach to the festival, was a reminder of the beginning of a fun-filled summer ahead.
