7月12日の日曜日に剣山山頂で行われるNPO法人徳島県古武道協会主催古武道演武大会に参加致します。
徳島に安土桃山時代に伝えられた阿州柳生神影流兵法剣術、阿州柳生神影流武道神事を披露致します。
剣山は現在リフトもあり登山客が多く訪れていますが、戦前は武道信仰も強く女人禁制の霊山で徳島の銘菓・ぶどう饅頭もこの歴史背景から生まれました。
初代館長久保利雄より代々剣山の大切さを申し伝えられており現在でも伝承されている形や伝承舞を演武しています。
今回の主催者である徳島県古武道協会は、徳島に伝承された古武道の保存振興だけではなく、各神社での演武大会の開催や他流派との交流も目的とされています。

On Sunday, July 12, we will participate in the Traditional Martial Arts Demonstration Tournament hosted by the NPO Tokushima Prefecture Traditional Martial Arts Association at the summit of Mount Tsurugi.
We will demonstrate the A-shu Yagyu Shinkage-ryu martial arts swordsmanship and the A-shu Yagyu Shinkage-ryu martial arts ritual, which were introduced to Tokushima during the Azuchi-Momoyama period.
Mount Tsurugi now has a ski lift and attracts many hikers, but before World War II, it was a sacred mountain with a strong martial arts tradition where women were forbidden to enter; Tokushima’s famous confection, the “budō manju,” was born from this historical context.
The importance of Mount Tsurugi has been passed down through generations since the first director, Toshio Kubo, and we continue to perform the forms and traditional dances that have been handed down to this day.
The Tokushima Prefecture Kobudo Association, the organizer of this event, aims not only to preserve and promote the traditional martial arts passed down in Tokushima but also to hold demonstration tournaments at various shrines and foster exchanges with other schools.
